Code 24 causes stumble?

Today I got my car back from the shop, new alternator, starter and battery....now the thing is stumbling!!! I give it WOT and it jerks like its not sparking or fuel isn't being thrown in.....then I went to AutoZone and they said I had a code 24...the VSS...could this be what is causing my problem...and what are the symptoms of a bad VSS.....tomorrow I am going to check the plugs wires and stuff like that too....and where is the VSS located...thanks....AARON
