lt1 cam fuel pump lobe

Ive been searching through some posts and found that some people are talking about the lt1 cam not having a lobe for the fuel pump. I just bought one from a 95 Z28. So will I need an electric fuel pump or something? I'm not even sure which I have.

You probably won't find a pump lobe on that billet, just a series of indexed cuts to "round" off the billet for balance and clearance for installation. the factory cam I removed didn't have the lobe, but, oddly, BOTH Comp replacecments have had the lobes. Notice the fuel pump eccentric on the lower (Comp) cam in the photo:

so will the cam work correctly without the lobe?

it will work correctly, but your stock mechanical fuel pump won't. your gonna have to switch to an electric pump.
