i was driving a 3.1L mpfi around today, when it stalled outta nowhere. i was stopping for a red light, and she just stalled as i came to a complete stop. the car would NOT start, just turn over making no rumble or sign of starting, then a friend helped me push it into a parking lot, so when i got it there, just for the hell of it, i turned the key, and bam, started right up, and didn't do it at all anymore. This is the first time it's completely stalled, although it's seemed to be acting up while cruising at about 55 or so the tach will jump down and the motor kinda boggs, then back to normal, no problems. The check engine light does not come on (until the car actually stalled,even then when i got it started again the light went off). I'm stumped, not sure what it could be really. All fluids are good. Any ideas? fuel system clog? ignition system problem? Any ideas are welcome, thanks for the help in advance.
