fuel pump question

Axle/Gears: 3.42, 3.42

fuel pump question

Im gettin ready to swap in my carbed 350, so ill either need a 3 port regulator, or can i use a mechanical pump, will it draw gas up through the old pump, or would i be better off using the regulator.

but is that the best way to go, and will it work fine without any problems
