I have a Stock 91 firebird and I was wondering what would be the best mods to do and in what order. The car is an 305 TBi and only has 110,000 miles on it runs very good . thanks :hail:

 

Exhaust from heads to street, but for some other car, not for a 305 TBI - get the headers, cat, & cat-back for a 350 TPI.

Then a cam and a set of heads. People seem to get good results fromt eh LT1 cam which you can find used pretty cheap. The best cheap heads for that motor are 305 TPI heads, casting # 081.

After that, gears. 3.42 or 3.73, with the SLP posi.

Do those 4 things, you'll hardly even recognize your car any more, even though it will look exactly the same. Those 4 nods should shave a good 1.2 seconds off your ¼ mile time, maybe more.
