Engine knocks
I was reading a tread about about the LT4 knock module and it made me think of something.
Recently I have replaced my valve covers with covers that warent meant for the lt1 and I had to sligtly push the passenger cover in so it would let me put the alternator in , 1 of the rocker is just sligtly hitting the cover and I can hear the knock, it's very light , would that create a knock that the Knock Module would detect ???
The ses light is comming on saying Knock module but I tought it was just a faulty knock module.

I'd be a little less concerned with the KS dectecting the noise than all the metal that is probably draining into your oil. If you have a valve train interference problem, you really should repair that first, rather than try to get around the problem by deadening a sensor.

True that , didn't think about it, thx !! I guess you learn with experience.... this is my first V8 car.
Can it be the reason why the SES light comes "on" with knock sensor problem ??

That's possible, but it depends on the failure mode. If the MIL turns on as soon as teh engine is running (or within about five seconds) you may have a dead or disconnected KS. That can be a problem, but you really need to repair the valve train first.
