Smog Pump Removal

This is in reference to the tech article about removing the smog pump. Does the belt routing and belt sizes given in the article work universially in 3rd gen cars? Also does this proceedure require any other types of modifications? Since I believe my pump is not hooked up properly it might as well go. Thanks guys. Drive on................

belt routing remains unchanged if you just remove the apump internals

it worked for me.

if your belts on wrong, you will know. the belt should travelfrom left to right over the alt, down and under the PS pump and over the water pump. then down and across and under the crank pulley then back up the left side all the way to the A/C pulley then over it and back to the tensioner. IS this to confusing to you
