i havent found a lot of specific books that really go into depth but there are many that give u basic ideas that can really get u going, these are some books i have that have taught me a lot when i was absolutely clueless...
i dunno whether u have tpi - i do so therefore i have many books on the subject
a haynes manual
how to tune and modify chevrolet tpi engines (motorbooks)
how to tune and modify your camaro 1982-1998 (motorbooks)
how to tune and modify chevrolet fuel injection (motorbooks)
small block chevy performance (HP Books)
chevy tpi fuel injection swappers guide (SA Design- Cartech)

and one ive wanted to get that looks good is -tpis insider hints
also i buy several diff magazines a month that have a lot of good articles...
all of these things i have bought at barnes and noble
they also have some body and interior books...
try going to a diff barnes and noble..sometimes some suck and sometimes theyre gold mines

Anything by David Vizard or Alex Walordy.... they both write yerbasic hotrodding books with lots of real-world usefulness, and leave the monkey-spank out of it. You'll find how-to instructions for stuff that you can actually do and that actually works, not "We were looking for a budget backyard 1000 HP monster so we took this nonobtanium racing crank that was forged by 10,000-year-old gnomes in the fiery furnaces of Hell, and machined it to the journal diameters of a 1949 Hupmobile, and put it in this brand-new NASCAR block we had laying around in the junk heap, and made almost as much power as a stock 305 TBI!!!" like magazine articles.

Go to Summit's site, I believe they carry quite a few of them.

Well, there's this nice little densely-packed woods out back, with lots of shade, and a creek...

In a closet at my house, my dad found his old book on hotrodding SBCs... its called "How To Hotrod Small Block Chevys"

Its a pretty good book with alot of info on every aspect of building a killer small block. Its done by Bill Fisher and Bob Waar (published by H.P. Books)

I like the book alot, but it may be kinda outdated now, because its current info as of 1972

Wish i could go to a GM dealer and pick up a running 370hp 350ci sbc for $500 like they did....
