ok. i screwed up my firebird, the underbody was all rusted out and i curbed it hard, thus bending the body and throwing everything out of whack. now the engine and transmission are still good, so im thinking "I want a dune buggy". had a few questions. is there anyway to run the engine without the computer or must i use it? (2.8l mpfi) also how much do custom driveshafts usually cost? and what would be good material to make the frame out of? i was thinking strong steel pipes) but dont know if that would support the engine good enough with all the bouncing it would be doing. and suggestions, comments appreciated.
Yes, the engine needs the ECM to operate the injection system.
Chorme-Molybdenum steel tubing makes very nice frankes, and can also make a nice tubular frame for your 'F' car. It all depends on how much you want to spend.
