Hold the gas wide open while cranking; when it begins to clear enough to start running, start backing off the gas pedal (air pedal actually); then find out why it flooded.

Not there it won't. I used to make lots of green on cars that were flooded. After sitting for days, customers would finally call to get their car towed. A few minutes in a warm garage and out of the 20° weather, a new set of plugs, and a choke cleaning/adjustment and they'd be on their way. I used to LOVE the older Chrysler V-8s with Carter 2-barrels. One pump of the pedal was enough to set the choke and prime the engine. I could never get that through to some people, so we just kept taking their money. Sometimes we'd get lucky and be able to dry them out with a match - sometimes.

Thank goodness for the Chrysler Corporation, or mechanics would starve.

while u have the gass to the floor turn the key, keep it turned it will start, but dont keep it turned to long, but not to short. another why is let it dry. and another why is pop the hood take off the aircleaner top stick something in the choke that keeps it open like a pencil, or screwdriver, and just turn the key till it starts.

For 35 yrs my dad worked as an insurance broker. An elderly lady called him and asked, "My son-in-law said I flooded my car. Can I claim that on my flood insurance"?

ROFLMAO!!!!!!
