i have until tomorrow to decide waht im gonna do with my car. my choices are to keep my current setup:
355ci TPI 9.2:1 CR
vortech s-trim @6psi
vortec heads and TPI baseplate
24# injectors
700R4 w/vette stall and servos, 3.27 rear
1 5/8 headers and flowmaster muffler etc etc
or go to...
355ci n/a
performer RPM intake
holley 750 street avenger carb
fast burn heads
3.73's
1 3/4 headers blahblahblah
i need some suggestions here. im getting real close to placing the order to switch to carb. sounds real tempting to me but something in the back of my head is telling me to keep what i have now. PLEASE....i need some input!

Why do you want to go to a carb.? If it were me and everything worked, I would stay with the TPI.
Let me see here, TPI + BLower = Fun!!

well, ive been having a lot of problems lately. the car refuses to idle once it gets warm. the car drives beautifully for the first few minutes but once it gets to about 150 degrees, the idle surges from 750 to 1200 non-stop. if i dont give it some gas it dies out every single time. i checked for some codes after and there were 9 codes. went through every step in the book to fix them but it still refuses to idle. so far, ive changed the IAC, TPS, MAF, ECM and it still gives me problems.

My car did a similar thing but did it all the time. I traced it to an incorrectly adjusted minimum air. I never set that when I put on the larger TB. I have had all manor of problems with the TPI as does everyone with any kind of car. IMO keep the TPI, it worth it.
hmm, im gonna take one last look at the engine and check for anything fishy. ive went over everything 3 times in the past month and couldnt find anything. maybe ill get lucky tomorrow....thanks for your input
