Power steering removal

There is a bolt behind the fluid reservoir that screws in to the driver's side head that connects the alternator bracket. I can not get a socket in there to remove it. Does the power steering pump have to come out? The only bolt I can see on the power steering unit is the one for the pulley. Is this the only one needed to remove it?
Thanks

to get at that bolt you will need to remove the pulley itself. to remove the pulley you have to get a pulley remover because the power steering pulley is pressed on. you can buy one at you local parts store for around 15 dollars.

Does the center bolt actually hold the pulley there or can I remove the pulley with it in place? When I try to loosen it the pulley just spins. Sorry for the newbie question
