Most people just get a socket thats just a little too small, and beat it on. Then remove it, and replace it with a regular lug. Theres not much of a market for stock thirden wheels, so they should be safe. Im not ripping on you, I have the same rims.

I will never put locking nuts on wheels ever again!

I had a shop do 30,000 mi routine on a car I owned with locking lugnuts. They rotated tires, and the mechanic didn't put the key back into car. I never checked, until I needed it, 3 months later with a flat (tire actually busted - bad bad pothole). THE SHOP HAD GONE OUT OF BUSINESS!!! I had to go 200 miles to get a master key set from a dealer, 200 miles back to unlock, and 400 miles again to return the set to dealer.

If I have rims that desireable - I'll pay for the comprehensive insurance and let ins company replace 'em - much cheaper!

had a friend do that with his 79 firechicken

we where putting shocks on the wheel I had to go home. well he went to go take the back rims off and seeing that locking lug on the tire made him remember to get the key from were he normally put it. wasn't there..... so he called a friend of ours up to see if he left it there since he was trying thirdgen camaro rims on his car to swap (didn't happen) no og. looked around everywhere for it and still couldn't find it. ended up taking a socket a little smaller then the lug heated it up and beat it onto the lug to get it off of there.....

went to the other side ofthe car took the hub off... and gee there it was . even though it was his mistake (losing anything is your mistake ) he replaced them with reg lugs

too much hassle... I have lost the key once or twice on my 71 camaro a few times.... just not worth it.

take a chisel about the size of the slits and hammer it in, then turn it with a ajustible wrench, works for me and the lock nut is still good...like ud ever want to use it again though...lol i gotta do that when i get home for my burnout tires

you go to sears parking lot and buy a craftsman usally 15/16th socket and hammer it on...once you break the nut free remove the socket, Then you return it for another one and repeat till you have all 4 off. Had to do that once before.
