Any one who seen the original post knows the troubles I was having getting my car to run. Well, after getting everything squared away and the car running like a bat outta hell, I smell gas under the hood. OK-no biggie, just find it and fix it. Turns out the AFPR is leaking. One of the screws has gas coming from the base of it. It's a PITA, but not that bad. Off with the plenum, check the bolts(what should they be torqued to anyway? Can't find any info for that.) Car was cruddy from driving it around on the terrible PA roads. So I washed it. When I went to pull it into garage, cranked a little long. Stopped cranking. Cranked again and started right up. SES light!
Code 42-fault @ electronic spark timing circuit, fault@ direct ignition system, fault @ fuel cutoff relay circuit. Anyone ever have a 42 and solve it. This is just another one of those annoyances of owning a finicky TPI. Any help on where you think I should start. Thanks in advance everyone.

I'm not sure what the torque spec for th eFPR cap screws might be. I just tighten them, realizing they are small and the base is die-cast aluminum.
If you adjusted the base timing recently, the '42' will be a result of unplugging the EST bypass connector. If that's the case, clear the codes and try again. If the codes were already cleared or you didn't disconnect the EST bypass, you may have an open circuit to the knock sensor, an EST wiring/connection problem (including engine grounds), or a poor connection at the bypass connector. ECM connections could also be an issue.
No, the '42' (or any other error codes) is not normal nor expected to be part of operating a TPI engine.

Thanks Vader. I just had the car timed and didn't reset the ECM. Timing was my main problem I was having. I'll do that tonight. Disconnect negative terminal for 5 minutes, right?
