Choke Heater Relay Location

Aaaaargh, were is the damm thing? I can find the fuse but where is the relay? On the Carb? (Rochester Q Jet 86 Iroc Z 5.0 LG4)
On the firewall? What does it look like, how many connections. Any Part Number so I can just order one and figure it out from there?
Any info gratefully received.
Frustrated quattro freak in England with a warming sensation for Iroc Z's!! (Should have gone for a fuel injection model?)

Let me try to help ya on this one-the ALDL connector is behind a little removable panel up above your leg when you're seated in the driver's seat (not sure which leg it's above on your car since you're in England, but it's a good reference point). It's got twelve pin-sockets, probably only about six of them are loaded. Anyway, this thing is mounted on the front of a metal tray that when taken down from under the dash, will be holding a bunch of relays & stuff. C-H relay should be the green one. You'll have to remove the trim panel above your feet to bring down this convenience tray. Hope this helps you.

Re: Choke Heater Relay Location

you probably found it, but the other place to look for the relay box in 3rd gens is on the passenger side, not driver's side. I tried looking on the pass side for mine, but it's actually in the other location. I hope this info helps others.! I need to find out how many signal ones there are. Some models have 3. One for emergency and 2 signal ones. One for front, the other for the back. Great. OK. Cheers!
