surge, stumble, hesitation...

edelbrock 750 mechanical sec., 383 small block, lumpy cam...

the car just started to just barely idle, and when it gets light throttle..it revs up and down..up and down, like im flooring it and letting go of the gas....then when i come to a stop in neutral, the engine starts to rev...if i let up off the brakes so the nose lifts, it starts to die, drop the nose with a little more braking...and it revs again.

Comp. tested all cylinders..185-190 psi(by the way..what kinda comp ratio am i looking at with those pressures)
Plugs all look uniform.

.......and when i adjusted the idle mixture screws rich..it ran good for a while..then the screws would make a difference after it starded happening again..

Soooo.......sound like a carb problem?

and please lets not get into a edelbrock/holley war...lol
