The Choices, which one should I persue
Ok, here is the deal. I managed to score a 87 IROC-Z28 for free. The engine doesn't run and there is a decent size dent in front of the driver's side door. The paint need a litte work also. I thought about swaping a 350 in but I'm not sure if it will work with a 5-speed or if I can find someone who can do this for me. Now to make things crazy, there are three cars around here that are very appealing to me. A dark red 91 RS (it has very high miles and the tint is starting to bubble other than that good car), a greenish colored firebird (don't know anything about it except it's a 3rd gen and for sale across the street) and a white 97 z28 (now, i would have jump right on this car except I don't know if I can afford the $8,950 price tag). My question is should swap an engine into the IROC or go ahead a get something driveable? If I should get one of the other cars, which one should I get

hold on to your shorts man. for your first question as long as the car was originally a v8, meaning it had the 305 which i am sure it did, then the tranny should bolt up to the 350. as far as your second question, do you already have a daily driver that is dependable? if so then build up the z28 and it will be a fun learning process to get familiarized with cars.
