hey, i got a problem today i accelerated fro ma stop sign and my car stopped having power over about 1000 rpms, i tried to go faster but i lost power and so i drove 15 miles per hour or so to my house. i backed back out of my driveway (without turning it off) and as i backed up it made a whirl whirl noise like u could hear when it rotated and then i went downt the road and shifted into overdrive, drive, and 2nd gear and it acted the same, then i shift into 1 and it didnt like that at all, didnt have any power and made noise (nothing loud and obvious that i could get hunts from) then i turned off the car and made another run up and down the street, reverse noise gone and car ran ok but it was heating up to 240ish so i pulled in the driveway and shut it off...i thought at first my tranny sht its pants but now it seems like an engine problem but i have no idea...i dont wanna try to just drive it and see if its fine, any suggestions?

 

your best bet, to be safer than sorry is to take it to a mechanic
