305 running alittle rough.

I've got an AC Delco 305 whit about 6000 miles on it, stock q-jet, accel cap; rotor; and coil, stock exhaust, edelbrock performer intake (non-egr), smog taken off, and a/c taken out.. Now to the problem.. Motor runs alright but when I'm siting at a red light with the car in drive the idle drops about 50 rpms and feels like its going to stall, its done it once or twice with the car in neutral too.
I just replaced the cap, rotor and coil thinking that mite be it, but no luck.. Any one have or had this kinda problem?

Has the stock q-jet been rebuilt recently?

Is it loading up? Might be running too rich, mess with your carb and try to dial it in.

I see that your not using EGR. Are you still using the computer or did you switch over no non-cc carb and distributor? Sounds like you may have a vacuum leak or maybe the carb needs to be rebuilt and cleaned out.

i've still got the computer, i don't think there is a vacume leak. i've checked around all the lines and found they all looks good and don't have any lose ends
there is a good chance its the carb, over 100,000 miles on it and 20 years of hard use.. if i put on a holly or edelbrock would i have to change the distributor too? and do you know what else is controled by the computer?
