HELP my camaro is broke
I have a 92 305 TBI camaro. Over the past six months i have had a lot of problems with it. First off the codes i get are 44(lean exhaust), 53(system over voltage), 54(fuel pump circuit). I have taken this car to a mechanic and the first time they found nothing. The second time they told me it was my ECM. I don't always get those codes they just pop up when they fell like it. I also have a hard time getting above 35 mph, because it will not accelerate and the car is shaking and rocking, and then a popping sound comes from under the hood on the passenger side, which makes me wonder if the timing is off. So if the ECM is good, then i need to check the grounds, so then could anyone tell me where all the grounds that i need to check are? If someone else has had the same problem and had it fixed, please let me know. HELP!

I try to help you on this one. I have had a code 44 for like a year and i can't figure it out. but my car still runs fine.
what does your volt gauge say for volts?
is it in the red?
i really don't know about the fuel pump cause i run an aftermarket one..

You may have a problem with the ECM, maybe not. Obviously, the ECM is at least working, or you wouldn't be able to retrieve error codes, and the engine wouldn't even run.
The ECM can only act based on the information it gets from engine sensors. Since some of the sensors operate at very low voltage and current levels, good, reliable connections are essential, including the ground connections. Start with the main ground strap from the back of the head to the firewall. Don't forget teh main ground node on the inner fender/subframe rail near the battery, adn the battery main ground (negative) cable to the engine.

Well my volts stays around 12-14, but i did take it to autozone about 5 or 6 months ago and they did a full test on the alternator and said that it was putting out enough volts, but it has never caused any problems with me and my battery has never lost its charge, so i didn't know if the guy knew what he was talking about, because he wasn't very clear about things.
