coil wiring

i just got a mallory dual point mechanical distributor, jegs coil, and my new msd wires. i just hook up the positive and negative terminals on the coil to power and ground right? if not can any tell me where they need to be hooked up. thank you

can anyone tell me the wires i need to hook up to my coil? i need to install all this tomarrow and i need to know which wires to use. thanks if anyone can help.

You should find an old Chiltons or something too.

+ on coil goes to ballast resistor then on to ignition switch.

- on coil goes to the wire from the points in the distributor.

If you look on the MSD or Pertronix? websites you can find all sorts of wiring diagrams and instructions, including info on points sysems. Just ignore the stuff you don't need ...
