I know this is not what is normally discussed here but I have a question on something that I don't understand. I am working on a 1986 Chevrolet pickup with a 305 in it. I am doing some changes to it and trying to fix my oil pressure guage. I went to change the sending unit but was confused to see that along side the sending unit is something else hooked with a tee to the oil pressure fitting from the block. It has three wires going to it. What is this thing and what does it do?? Does it also effect the oil pressure guage? I did replace the sending unit the parts store gave me but my guage still does not work, so I am wondering if this has anything to do with it. I would appreciate any help you guys could give me. I need this truck to run so I can go get some body parts for my car!
