crap built up in my cylinder?

after installing my new plug wires a couple weeks ago, i realized that i didnt check my spark plugs to make sure they were alright. i turns out my #8 plug wire was bad and crap built up in the spark plug and it wasnt firing. i bought another plug, but is there crap on the valves and on the piston? sort of like the crap on the plug. there was quite a bit on the plug. it completely covered the electrode, basically coated the whole thing. if there is this build up on my valves, how could i get it off, or will it just burn off? thanks

What kind of crap build up are you speaking of......is it a crusty whiteish brown, if so it is probably oil build up or is is black carbon build up. If it is build up run some top engine cleaner through your tank.
