Funky Tach Trick??

Hey Guys. Today I finally put my new coil on the car. I had to make the bracket out of aluminum. After I got the coil in I started the car and the tach wouldn't work. I played with all the coil wiring for a while with no avail. Finally I gave up and started working on getting the O2 sensor hooked up. (remember my O2 sensor is wired funny and before I put this new coil on it had a wire running into a harness, one grounded, and another running to the coil hot wire). Anyways I was looking for a power supply for the O2 and decided to just splice it back into the coil power wire. Got it spliced, started the car and guess what. THE TACH WORKED!! What gives? Drive on..............Damien
