well its started to get warm....when the weather gets 100+ its gonna get miserable. last year my mechanic told me that the compressor going bad...and i should convert to the r-34 since its cheaper anyways...but i was under the hood a couple of months ago i had found something jammed into the valves and a screw jammed into some of the vaccum hoses...i already fixed the problems that those dorks caused to my car....

since it soo expensive to refill the r-12...is there a way to check the system to find out the system is bad...i mean i orginally took in it because it wasnt blowing all that well and what was comming out was warm... i do think the mechanic rigged it so he could get more money out of me...

if i find out if the system is still good should i get the retro fit kit....
if i get this kit will it damage the compressor, or is that just a rumor.

so how and what do i need to do to check all the componets to check the system out?!

Sure can. Just did my AC. I had mine out of the car for 4 years. I bought all new o-rings, the retro kit, two extra bottles of R-134a and a new Accumulator. Put it all back together and work fine. They say to change the Accumulator so you don't damage your A/C pump. You don't want to get the different oils mixed.

BTW.. the Accumulator cost me $55.00 at Pep Boys
