help with head rebuild?
As my first project car im working on an 83 crossfire z-28. I just got the enigine to fire up and run after a few months of work. The car is drivable now but very loud and rough. I don't want to yank and rebuild the whole 305 just yet. I was thinking of just rebuilding the top part of the engine. Replacing head and intake gaskets. And taking the heads apart to clean them. Would this make a big difference in the way the engine runs? I dont have the money or time to rebuild the entire engine just yet. Should I do this first or wait to rebuild the entire motor? Im new to this stuff so any help would be grateful.

you might as well wait for a rebuild...if you have luck like mine...once you start tearing it down, it wont stop until the blocks at the machine shop! check this out!
