Parking car for awhile

My little brother parked his Mazda Precidia-for 8 months now and probably for another year.

He thinks not starting it is good for it I say it's bad and he shopuld start it one a month.

Who is right?

you should not only start it, but also drive it around for a while like twice a month. not long maybe 10-20minutes. use it for an errand every now and then.

up to you. starting it and not moving it is better then nothing. id just take it up and down the street at the most then being very careful.

If it were a ThirdGen, I would try to prepare it for longer term storage by fogging, removing the battery, standing it off the tires or overinflating, traeting the fuel, sealing up the interior, and covering it for light/dust protection. I lieu of that, starting and running it every month or so and allowing ot to reach full temnperature and moving it around a bit would be a good idea.

Since it's not a ThirdGen, and is just a Mazda, it doesn't matter.
