ok i need some ideas for a CAI for my firebird, can people post their pictures of their home made CAI's. and if you cn the cost to make them. thanks

lol i live in seattle where its always cold or going to be cold. and yes i used the search for the last 2 days, but i just kept seein the same ones, i was wondeirng if anyone else has any they havent posted...
also a while back i saw someone with 3inch PVC and then a Ypipe and 2 K&N's on the end thats infront of the radator. if anyone has pictures fo it or info please help me out i would like to do something of this sort.

On a slightly more serious note (but not completely), I have always looked at the void on the RH corner of my 'Bird, just to the right of the EVAP cansiter. There appears to be ample space there to route a 4" flex duct through the inner fender and around to the front of the radiator - right in the high-pressure area under the nose.
Whether you mount the filters out front or not is up to you. I was thinking of keeping the stock (inside-out flowing) housing and K&N 890 connected to the duct to minimize the chance of saturating the filter with water. The extra-low front air deflector I installed would help even more with charging effect, but the air would be cooler either way.
I have seen no photos or diagrams of this installation, but I'm thinking about trying it, and you can bet there will be photos if I do.
