rear main swap

here is a question about my work truck (95 chevy 2500). The rear main is leaking and the flywheel is cracked (don't ask). In the flywhell swap, I thought that if it were possible, I could install a new rear main. What are you guys ideas about it?

Jeremy

Take off the seal block, pop the old one out, bonk in a new one, bolt it back up. Pretty basic really.

Use a piece of wood laid flat on the seal to knock it in with; a 6' piece of 2x4 is about right. Lay the seal on it flat, and apply one huge bonk with a BFH.
