Mine's not an IROC but it is a Z. My idle is about 900 in neutral warmed up. About 800 in gear warmed up.

When it was stock, it idled at about 600 in neutral warmed up. Originally it was a 5 spd car so I think the idle was lower than the autos.

'86, LB9, »875-905« in neutral or park, no AC on, No fan on, hot idle. Drops to about 650 in DRIVE. That's measured by a handheld, not the dash tach. The dash tach reads about 5% high in my car.

I'm pretty much in that ball park too. About 700rpm in neutral, and 600rpm in gear.

Stupid me started the car and forgot to wait for the idle to come down. Shifted into 1st and chirped the tires.....wasn't on the gas at all, infact my foot was firmly on the brake pedal.

*Note to self, be VERY nice to the tranny, its already got its foot out the door. It won't take much to send it packing*

87 L98 500 or 550rpm in drive. Neutral/park are a bit higher, but I don't usually pay attention after the car is warmed up.
