bent torque arm?

When i put my tranny in, while i was hooking up the torque arm, i noticed there was no pressure pulling it up. If i pull it down below the tranny, then i can actually feel it pulling up, but in its state bolted up to the tranny it does not feel like it is loading the rear axle at all. Could it be a bent torque arm, what gives?

If you have the rear end supported correctly, that's exactly how it should behave. Nothing is wrong.
