serpentine belt question...
ok im putting a serpentine belt sytem on my carb 350...i dont plan on using A/C and no smog pump. i just need alternator and power steering pump...is there a simple way just to set it up like that...or is it a pain...i havent really looked at it yet, just starting thinking about the tensioner on the left and what i need on the right, ah ill see, if anyone has done this, please just let me knwo how.. thanks

There's another alternative.
Uses (2) 6 rib belts, and no tensioner.
March Performance. Don't look at the serpentine conversion, cause that cost upwards of 500 bucks. These pulleys only set me back around 260 bucks.
How about that! The Grip of serpentine belts, and redundancy of V belts.

well im tryign to "low-budget" this car together, i have the TPI belt system from another car i want to use. i dotn want to buy expensive pulleys, even 200 is too much for the car(car and motor together cost under 800) as far as the serpentine belt conversion...been there, done that...(79 vette with a 96 impala SS LT1..talk abotu a PITA getting stuff to fit)...ah ill figure somethign out, i still have the v-belt setup i may just use....but i DO like that dual serp. belt setup...sweet...i may just do it....
