Hey everyone!
Im stoked for getting a camaro! Ive researched and I think 91 is the year that would be best for me! Right now I drive a 1989 Cavalier Z24 with a 3.1 rebuilt engine swap, and its an automatic. So im kinda craving a manual, just for a change, but the manual in 91 is the 5L where the automatic is the 5.7, so I was just wondering if the engine sizes make a big difference? Whats everyones preference?
Thanks!
Gord

It depends on what you want from the car. If you want a fast car to race around, I would suggest looking in the 350 direction. If you want a car that is really fun to drive, I would be on the look out for a 305 with the G92 option and a five speed trans. the 305 G92 five speed wasn't too much slower than the 350, so whichever you get, it will be pretty quick.
Allright thanks that helped alot but how do I know if its G92? Also, does one have better gas milage? Does anyone have stock times for both the Camaros? Thanks!
G92 is an RPO number which should be found under the arm rest lid. I really love my 5 speed and all i have is the weakest 305 known to man! Other than for pure acceleration i find that on a winding road it is almost as fun as my Corvette. Unless i have the top down on the Corvette. Drive them both and then choose wisely.
