ok, finally !!! installed the lt1 cam, was welcomed by a damn s.e.s light...this normalk?? wtf is it comming on...

lol uh what adventure, or should i say misadventure....couldi have just forgot a hose or something??? cold it b ethat my smog crap wasnt hooked up when i started the engine??? o2 sensor getting used to the higher airflow output??? dangerous to drive the car at all????

complete the install ....then start the motor. You dont know for sure whats going on if you only do the job 1/2 way.....

only thing thats off is the valve covers and the AIR tube that connects the headers AIR tubes to the smog pump heh..., its 99.8% done not half way

Really though, you cant get a true reading if everything isnt complete....I dont know if it will make any difference, but at least you can rule that out.

Get an idle vacuum reading directly from the intake. I'm guessing that the LT1 cam on an 305 SD system is not going to produce acceptable vacuum.

You may be programming soon.

Vader,

Could not have said it better myslef! My engine builder told me that the TPI cars need at least 14 inches of vacume @ idle. Get a vacume gauge and see what your running.

nah, its all good i got everthing hooked up and it went of magicaly all by it self ....guess it was the smog crap causing the light......in any event....everything is on and adjusted, ...and runs great! thanks yall once gain, couldnt/wouldnt of done it without your help

imagine that.. glad it worked out for ya ...how's she sound with that cam..where you got the Idle set?..My lt1 Idles at 900rpm....

runs damn good, computer sets idle at about 900-1000 now i need a custom prom, ...anyone here wanna program one for me ? lol
