taking out the AC and a few questions
i've searched around for the answers to this and havnt found one straight forward positive answer for this.
If i remove all of my AC will i need to do any modifications to still have heat? i know absolutley nothing about this so a step by step process would be really nice (i couldnt find one...) and what would i have to buy to do this?

Well I took out most of my A/C and I beleive that ll you need to leave in there is the vents/controls behind the dash, the blower at the back right of the engine compartment, and two lines running to the heater core which is behind the dash on the passenger side. BTW, of course one line is running two the heater core directly from the radiator, and then after the heater core goes to the back of the intake or the block, cant remember whih one. BTW, specify what type of engine you have, and also, what year and make of car. Finally, I beleive their is a technical article about this in the technical article section, but I dont know if it covers your problem of leaving heat. Hope this helped. Later,
its a 83 berlinetta 305. i know i'de have to leave the heater stuff in but what about the box on the passenger side on the fire wall? i should tear that thing apart so i know a little more about what i'm talking about. oh i looked for a tech article and couldnt find one
I am pretty sure you have to leave the box on the back of the firewall on the passenger side. That is the blower, its what actually blows the air from the vents. But with a heater,( when you choose heat on the controls, it diverts the air through the heater core, and then thats what gets your hot air. I wish I had an example to look at, but I tore mine out, and beleive me it was bd, it leaves a hole in your firewall and tahts not good. Anyways, good luck, and feel free to ask more.
