If it was me I would pull the trany and engine at the same time. In the scheme of things it is easire. IMO
That is the only way I do it. I have done it the other way and the bellhousing to engine bolts are a pain in the butt.
With a good engine lift you can yank both with out any problem.
I would remove the drive shaft. Put a jack under the very back of the trany and remove the 4 cross brace bolts and the 1 trany to brace bolt. Then the two engine mount bolts and yank away!
