Buying a 3rd gen- couple questions
Buying a 3rd gen- couple questions
Hey right now I have a 944 that I will hopefully be able to sell early this summer so I can get a 3rd gen. While I don't really want an auto I want the performance potential of the 350 so I guess that will be what I have to work with.
Anyways, how much should I look to spend on a stock 350 camaro? I'm probably going to have 3k-3.5k to spend and I'll be working this summer (going into the marines after summer) so I'll have plenty of cash for mods or to save up more $ for the car.
Did the 350's only come in the Iroc's and Z28's? It's a pain in the *** because on autotrader and most classified ads they don't specify what kind of freakin engine it has.
Thanks for the help guys, hopefully I'll be a 3rd gen owner soon.

hey lemme give you some advice, yeah you could buy a camaro for that much you might get a good one, but you want to wait till after you join, and actually get to a duty station, im still in my tech school and ive been in since december 01 and its a damn pain in the to get time to work on it, also youll have a bunch of money saved up to put towards it, and you dont want it just sitting while your doing all your training, good luck

damn, been in since dec. 01 and still in tech school.. ? Thats a long tech school.... Ive been in the AF since jan.01 and ive already been to war twice and seen 1/4 of the world.. I wish you luck in your career, both of you, and good luck finding that camaro... Take it easy...
Yeah I've thought about that for sure and I think the way I'm gonna go about it is I'll look for a clean camaro. If I find one that just can't wait I'll get it before I head off to boot, if not I'll wait until after. It'll just let me be real picky. ooh rah
that sounds better, and im pissed i didnt get to go anywhere either, but im in school for aerial navigation, yeah airforce guys get a commission to do this, i get to as enlisted, ill get to see the war, also
just find a good one, i bought one that i think the lady beat the crap out of, so i kinda got screwed because now i cant keep it on the road for more than a week, but i still love it, (hoorah)

350s were available in '87 IROCs till '90 when IROCs stopped production. You can also find them in 91 and 92 Z28s.
You can tell if it's a 350, by the Vin # the 8th digit will be an '8'.
Depending on milage the price will vary. I remember when was looking to buy mine a few years back, most 350 Camaros were around $3500-4000 for ones with slightly more than 100k miles on them.
