Single chamber Flowmaster?

I was thinking of running a three inch from the cat back then spliting into two pipes at the rear axle. Each pipe would go through a single chamber flowmaster and out the back. How feasable does that sound? Do those mufflers sound good or are they too loud? Does anyone have experience w/ these mufflers?
