ZZ4 Conversion
Want to swap my 86 305 TPI for a new ZZ4. How difficult is this conversion? Can I use my stock TPI, injectors, and computer? Can I use my stock wiring harness? Will all of my accessories bolt up the same (alternator, power steering)?
Thanks,
Mike

I think all of your accessories will bolt right up, but you'll probably have to get the 24# injectors and a custom burnt chip.

You will need new injectors at the very least... 22lbs should do fine. I also recommend either porting your stock base, or getting an aftermarket base. Your accessories, being v-belt, should bolt right up. You can get a new chip, or use your stock one and hope it runs...

I did this conversion to my 85 305 z28. You dont need injectors! All I did was install a adjustable fuel pressure regulator and bump the pressure up. It runs great. Your stock injectors are good to 400hp with the regulator. I didnt do any other major mods except gutted mass air, headers, and a 52mm TB. Runs great, idles at 650rpm. I didnt even do a chip yet.
