DARN FAN SWITCH!!! HELP!

This is so stuipd. Ok, I ordered a fan switch from Hypertech, go to install it, to big. Take it back, get a Jet fan switch (I checked the part numbers, all of them are right) this senser is even bigger than the one before so this is not ever going to fit. So what is up here? Anyone with a 305 that put a fan switch in there car know what I can do? I am thinking of just putting a manual switch on there. Help me out, thanks.

Where are you trying to install this sensor?
The fan temperature sensor/switch is located in the right(passenger) side head, above the starter.

The fan temp sensor is between the last 2 spark plugs on the pasenger side block under the exhaust manifold. I put a hypertech fan temp sensor in my brothers 88 formula 305 .....it fits in there but its a tight fit, and at first I thought it didnt fit but there wasnt alot of room for me to stick my fingers in there and tighten it. I finaly got it in there and tightened it up and so far I havent had any problems yet. Good luck and take your time, cause you dont want to mees up the threads on the engine block.
