my friend has a cam with the following specs..
194/202 duration
390/410 lift with 1.5 ratio rockers
its a crane cam he was thinking about putting it in his stock 305, that has headers and cat back, ho ignition, 3:90 posi, turbo 350 tranny with a shift kit and he thinks a 2700 stall convertor.

It makes a terrible baseball bat.
It is good for cutting the palm of your hand open, if it's used.
Among the list of things that it is not good for, include installing in a motor you want to run good. It is a copy of the old "929" cam; part of the combo that was responsible for the 170 HP 350s of the 70s. Most all of the cam mfrs offer it as part of their "stock replacement" series. It is about the worst cam GM has eve put in a SBC, except for the "peanut" LG4 and L03 cam, and the "151" (the so-called 375 horse 327) cam.
Please destroy it as soon as possible if you have it, to help erase the memory of this disgrace from the earth.

You forgot "cracking walnuts". And be careful of the lobe edges - like RB said, they can get quite sharp.
I s'pose you could be less-than-honorable and sell it to a Mitsubishi owner as a replacement. It has the right number of lobes for some of their engines.
