Loose pedals...

hey, i had a question. My clutch and brake pedals are loose. By loose i mean i can move them from side to side by more than an inch. I know this is not normall because sometimes the clutch dosent hit the floor all the way and my brake lights stay lit because the pedal isnt hitting the switch. I looked up in there today and i dont see a bolt and nut i can tighten to stiffen these bad boys up. does anyone know of a way to tighten the rods so theres no side to side motion in the pedals? thanks...

There's plastic bushings that go inside them... you can get them in the "Help!" stuff at parts stores
