Pinion angle waaay off now, but why??!

ok, i just put everything back together today since i finally found some time off. well, i had the torque arm off and put in a new clutch fork and removed my flywheel shim and did other minor maintainance.
anyways, i put everything back together and the pinion angle is way off now. the rear end looks shifted back and the front of the rear end is way up in the car. i didn't really change anything and can't figure out why nothing lines up. the torque arm looked alright, too. any ideas would be appreciated. my enthusiasm for my car is quickly goin away here

Look up by the tranny on the driverside and see if the TA came out of it's mount....the TA is probably up against the tranny tunnel

nope, i already check that before i wrote this. i am too familiar with the sound it makes when it comes up and hits the floor board. i do have one of those poly torque arm mounts and have had trouble with it ever since. that is one reason i had it apart, but i haven't had a problem with the pinion angle. good thing is that i have no more shifting problems

well,if you had it off,and had weight off the rear end,its possible that a spring has come out of its seat....check that...ive also seen people put in the crossmsmber upside down+backwards/////im sure you are a bit smarter that that, but you never know

mike, yes that makes total sense to me now. i do recall looking at the rear end here last week and thinking the rear end was about off the springs. i will definately look at that tomorrow. well, it is good to make sure that i covered the basics but i have had my car apart more then i have had it together. thank you for your help.

just took a look at my springs to make sure they were in there proper position. it doesn't appear that they are problem, but you can definately tell that the rear end needs to be rolled forward. the bottom of the springs aren't sitting flat on the plates. anymore help would be appreciated. i will put the car back up in the air tonight and look at it closer.
