Just Installed PR Chip, GOT QUESTIONS!

Ok, whats up everyone ?
Today I just got a Performance Resource chip. Installation was pretty smooth, actually easy.. just how i like it My first question is, should i really have a 160* Thermostat in there... At first my car got real hot, then stayed around 220.. seems like it got hot faster with the new chip. They recommend 180* which im almost tempted to go get tomorrow. The other question is when I left work tonight, I usually get in and start my car up and pump the gas pedal a little bit, when i did it tonite however, the car hesitated bad... i mean it sounded like when i pumped the pedal the engine paused! I put it in to drive and pumped the pedal lightly and was off. I pumped a little harder and my engine started to pause again, hesitation. I am baffeled at why it does this. Once i almost stalled, any explainations!?!? After my car was running for a few minutes didnt seem to be affected when i pumped the pedal.. weird i think.

Other than that, the Chip makes my car feel and run so differently. I mean it shifts at a higher RPM i noticed, pulls a little better, and it seems like it handles somewhat better too. Even though I have a TBI i still think my cars fast.. hehe

Thanks a million,
Joe

If you disconnected the battery to install the new chip, the computer is going to need 30 miles or so to reset the preferred tables to address for different driving conditions.
You should not need to pump the gas pedal to get a TBI to start.
Some TBIs can be very fast, indeed.

Mine does that too when the engine gets cold, but after it warms up its all good.
I've been told its because the PR Chip advances the timeing way to much which makes it hesitate. Whether or not this is true, i don't really know. Maybe someone else like Dan87IROC would elaborate on this or some of the other people who've messed with PROM's before.
