wheels spin in opposite directions with posi..

i had my car on a lift today and i noticed my wheels no longer spin in the same direction.. its a stock posi unit with 373's.. does that mean the clutch packs are shot?

Or, to put it a different way, the posi is toast for some reason or another.

Either that, or it's not the stock posi for one of these cars, but rather it's the Eaton "Grenade Lock" out of a S truck.

The thing about spinning 2 tires doesn't matter. That's no proof of what's inside the housing.

Take off the cover and look. Sounds like one of 3 things is true: either it's not a posi in the first place; or it's the junk S truck one; or it's toast. Any of the above, you can quickly identify by taking off the cover. All other "indications" are uncertain at best.
