Connector Identification needed
Could someone please help me to identify what these connectors are and where they're supposed to go?
Thanks a million

Here ya go man.....
Each number on my pic corrosonds with the same number connector in your pic.
1) It looks like its the connector thats supposed to plug into the AIR box.... if you took that system off, its got no place ta go now. But it shouldn't be a problem.
2) Plugs into the Thermostat housing
3) Plugs into the top of the Computer Controlled Carb that came with the engine, but from the looks of things the engine is getting farther away from being stock all the time. Heh, so, if you don't still have the Computer Controlled Carb, you may run into some issues with the Tourqe Converter locking up.... which can be remedied by puchasing a kit from Summit or Jegs to fix that problem, or by wireing something up manually.
4) Plugs into the front of the carb, once again, part of the computer controlled carb.
5) Is a ground wire that bolts in somewhere next to the thermostat housing, chances are the bolt is still out and you can easily identify where it went, if not.... its just a ground wire, so find a place to bolt it to the block.
Hope that helps bro
If you need anything else lemme know...

Adam,
You have no idea how much that does help! Thanks a whole lot for that.
The engine is looking better, but it's all stock in the real world. I think the only thing I don't have (and don't think I've ever had) is the AIR box. Do you have a picture of that by any chance?
Thanks again,
Si

Si,
It looks like a caucasian homo sapien left hand and digits. You can "plug it in" to anything you like - we don't need the details...

How are things going on the EuroBoard? I haven't stepped in there for a while. Guess I should.
Anyway, as for what that hand is holding, it looks like the EGR vacuum valve/solenoid assembly. Where did you find it?

That used to be the EGR solenoid, and went under one of the intake bolts - the 5th one back on the right-hand side of the engine IIRC.
Originally it had a molded rubber assembly that held 2 vacuum lines. One went to a fitting near the bottom right corner of the carb, and one wnet to the EGR valve.
But now it's garbage. The vacuum fitting are broken off.

Thanks! FYI though, the fittings must've been broken when I took it off...as Shaggy might say, "it wasn't me" Originally posted by Vader

And as far as I can gather, the Euroboard is ticking over...don't go in there much myself, as it's primary function is a way of organising meetings and such, which I am unable to attend until my car is in one piece!
Thanks guys, I'll be back tomorrow when I undoubtedly find something else which doesn't have a home....
