Best fuel pump brand...

Ok, looks like I'm going to have to replace my fuel pump... I know this is a NASTY job and I want a pump that's going to be reliable so that this doesn't come around again for a very long time. I know ACDelco is always a good bet... anybody know anything about these others... Airtex, Python Injection, Borg Warner, Carter, or STANDARD as listed on the wonderful Express Auto Parts web page...

I assume EFI/TPI setup? Then a WALBRO 190 or 255 LPH pump is all you will ever need. The link to the best prices is: www.members.home.com/syclone/APE/fuelpump.html

Price is $83 for a 190 lph
and $93 for 255 lph. I have had the 255 pump for over a year and it works GREAT and is quiet. HTH's

I just had the fuel pump replace on my TBI Camaro.

The mechanic told to me to get a fuel pump for TBI because the TPI pump will not work.

I belive the TBI pump has the fuel pressure in the 13-17 pound range and the TPI pump has fuel pressure in the 40-46 pound range.

The TPI pump may have too much pressure for the TBI injectors.

In any case the TBI AC Delco pump for $35 and new relay for $10 was what I got.

I've been told that the AC Delco pump can supply enough fuel for up to 300hp. If you want to go beyond that maybe something else would be better.
