Width of stock '86 SC rims?

I don't recall seeing this in tech or on the boards. I have 4 stock '86 SC rims, 15 x ???, the ones with the plastic center hub and chrome beauty ring (I think they're called Rally rims). They have 215R65x15 tires mounted now, so I can't easily measure them.

Fellow at work has some 265R50x15 BFG T/A's, about 1/2 tread, good price. Wanted to know if they would mount properly on these rims before buying them.

I've got four sitting in the garage, they still have the tire and rings on them but I tried to measure anyway. It looks like 7.5" but I'm not sure.

7" at most. IIRC they may have actually been 6½". Bad match for those tires, even worse than the aluminum 15" Z28 wheels.

I haven't seen the tires yet, but the seller said they were mounted on 8" rims before. I was doubtful they would fit on the stock rims, but thought I'd seek other wisdom.

I'll probably pick up the tires and look for some 8" rims to mount them on. I'm just planning on using them on the back for the track - two for the Camaro, two for the '57. They've got to be better than what I've been running.

Thanks for the responses.
