My brother-in-law just put a mild built 355 in an '82 Z28, and it came with factory posi. Just curious to what they might be. It had the crossfire injection and 700R4 trans.

are you sure it was the 700 r4, anyway if it has the G92 'performance axle' it has 3.23's standard was 2.93, that is for the LU5 motor. I think all the 82's had the THM200c transmission. And i don't think the LG4's came with posi either.

 

correct, the 700r4 wasn't available in 82's.

I stand corrected, yes it was the 200r.....I thought he said 700r, but I'm sure it has the posi. At full acceleration, it lights both up. Unless the rearend was changed.........hmmmmmmmmmmm

The crossfire engine got the best gears available in 82. 3.23
