1985 iroc 305 tpi

I just installed headers. I was planning on driving the car with open headers to my exhaust shop for a custom y-Pipe.

Just fired it up, it runs but does not want to idle.

Do you think its a problem with running open headers ?

Or is it probably something else ?

I did remove all the smog stuff prior to header install.

Did you make sure your O2 sensor is connected?

 

Or have you checked your wires? They burn up easy, or you may have them crossed.

 

also ive herd that if there isnt enouph back pressure that it will run like crap also im pretty shur eu have to atleast have a little bit to run right.

 

I installed new plug wires, ran them properly, o2 is hooked up. I am going to install an old crappy y-pipe and see if that helps.

there was also a lot of backfireing. gas smell was really strong
